Canlis
Hospitality

Founded in 1910, Canlis is a unique three-generation family restaurant known for refined service and iconic Pacific Northwest architecture.
Early in its history, servers wore traditional Japanese kimonos, reflecting the restaurant’s longstanding connection to Japanese hospitality traditions. Rooted in Pacific Northwest contemporary design and Japanese Wabi-Sabi philosophy, the collection expresses elegance through craftsmanship and the beauty of imperfection. Natural textures and quiet tonal contrasts create a visual language that feels refined and timeless.

A Lebanese cedar tree planted by the founder inspired signature garment details like closures and jewelry-like hardware, while the women’s blazer merges Western tailoring with a kimono-style neckline and a custom silk Japanese maple print.

Outerwear and modular pieces allow staff to transition seamlessly between arrival service, outdoor guest greeting, and interior dining environments. Each garment maintains the collection’s refined aesthetic while supporting movement, comfort, and changing service conditions.
